Oily Wellness
How oils changed my life.
I had been practising and preaching about the necessity of connecting to the Earth for many years, and though a walk in the nature always made me feel somewhat better, I still didn't feel 100% supported or empowered.
Breath work and meditation and creativity all helped..
But something was still missing.
One day, when struggling to heal a persistent stress-induced rash, I received a bottle of frankincense as a gift. I started to use it daily, the woody aroma of it wafting around me made me calm, and my skin seemed to lap it up.
After a short time, I saw measurable improvements and eventually within only months, the rash completely disappeared.
I wanted to learn more so I began to research essential oils. It was no surprise to me that the healing powers of the plants had been around for eons, but what struck me were the new technologies that made it possible to extract the active chemical constituents of the the plant, without negating all the supporting amino acids, in such a way that medicine could be made from them in their purest form.
What was even more enlightening, was that there was a company that cared so much about purity and sustainability and the people who grew the plants. A company that didn't build farms to harvest giant amounts of crops, but engaged thousands of farmers to grow and harvest on their own lands all over the world. A company that recognised the current state of exploitation of these farmers, and had the capacity to cut out the middle man, so that fair and profitable exchange could be awarded the farmers. A company whose ethic is founded upon raising people out of debt and into service.
My healing became intrinsically connected to a network of wellness, integrity and global impact. The more I learnt about the oils and this company that produced them, the stronger and more empowered I became.
Today, using essential oils is an essential part of my daily life and I wouldn't want it any other way! Through ritual and usage, essential oils empower me to live my best life and they will for you too.
